DIY design – make a coffee table from old pallets

How to make a coffee table from old pallets

If you have pallets that you are no longer using there is no need to throw them away this is your
chance to turn them into a distinct and visually intriguing piece of reclaimed furniture. With these
tips you can learn how to make a coffee table from old pallets.
After you have found a pallet (or had one kindly donated by a friend or asked at a local DIY store)
you will then need 4 wheels/legs, screws, a screwdriver (manual or electric), water based matte
paint, brush/roller and sandpaper (You may want a glass plate to put it on top but this is optional).

Once you have these items you can begin
• First sandpaper the edges.
• Paint the surface you may want to give it just one coat if you want a more rough and ready look or two coats
if you want it to be a bit smoother and more professional. Ultimately it depends on your own visual preference!
• Screw the wheels/legs onto each corner of the pallet.
• If you have a glass plate put it on top of the pallet. If you don’t have a glass plate (or would prefer a
wooden surface) make sure it’s fully varnished so it doesn’t absorb any stains!
• Move your table around (this will be easier with the wheels) and position your table.
• Relax and enjoy your coffee!

And there you have it in short how to make a coffee table from old pallets is relatively simple!
