“What is the ideal height of a coffee table?”

On the surface this is an easy question. The rather easy answer is “it depends” but there are
practical considerations as well as aesthetic ones when choosing a coffee table.
The width and legth of the table should be based on the amopunt of space available. Ideally the table should be no more than 2
1m from the seat of your couch. This is simply a practical issue­ it’s not very comfortable if you
have to stretch out too far to grab your drink from the table!

The other issue is the height of the couch that the table is paired with­, typically a table will be
around 500mm high although with higher couches this can raise to 800mm
Therefore the main conclusion from this is that the ideal height of a coffee table is around 500mm.
